Ryan Andre
Mr. Andre is excited to join the Grapevine High School Band as the Associate Director of Bands.
Before arriving at Grapevine, Mr. Andre most recently served as an assistant band director at
Centennial High School in Frisco ISD. While at Centennial, Mr. Andre’s concert bands consistently earned superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluations. He also helped lead the Centennial Marching Band to be a consistent finalist in the UIL Area Marching Contest and marching contests around the DFW area.
Before working at Centennial, he was an assistant band director at Mesquite High School, directing the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. He also worked as the show designer and primary visual instructor for the marching band. In addition to his teaching duties, he was the TMEA Region III Jazz Chairman during the 2019-2020 school year.
Active in the marching arts scene, Mr. Andre was a member of the brass staff for Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps in the summer of 2019. Before that, he marched with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps from Rockford, Illinois, in the summers of 2015 and 2016.
Mr. Andre, a native of Keller, Texas, holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Texas Christian University and is completing a Master of Music Education degree from Texas Tech University. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi. He and his wife Michele reside in The Colony,
TX, with their dog, Gracie.
