ABOUT US
The award-winning Mustang Guard is a multi-faceted co-ed performing arts program that combines dance fundamentals, theatrical skills, equipment proficiency, and dynamic choreography into a team-focused pageantry activity.  Members progress in their training all year through guard classes, extra-curricular rehearsals, seasonal weekend workshops, and summer camps. 

Exciting performance opportunities include:
state/regional marching band competitions
state/regional winter guard competitions
 national solo & ensemble competitions
varsity football halftime shows
school spirit pep rallies
seasonal parades
​and more!

Members in the GHS Mustang Guard are eligible to join the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.  Inductees are eligible to receive a gold honor pin, graduation cords, and medallion.  Scholarships are also available as a part NHSDA: The Artistic Merit, Leadership, and Academic Achievement Award application opens in Oct. and closes Feb. with recipients announced in May.
