KC Michel
KC Michel is the Program Coordinator at Grapevine High School. KC began his marching career in 1978 with the Blue Knights from Denver, Colorado as a soprano player. He then moved to the Sky Ryders from Hutchinson Kansas and marched 1979,80,81 and 83. He was in the horn line through 1980 then joined the Color guard in 1981. In 1984 KC joined the Madison Scouts from Madison Wisconsin where he marched his final three seasons.
In Mr. Michel’s winter guard teaching career he has taught numerous high schools and independent units. Notably Pomona high school from Arvada Colorado who were the 1994 scholastic open class world champions. Westfield high school from Spring Texas who were 10 time Texas winter guard champions during his tenure. KC was in the first class of recipients to the Texas color guard circuit hall of fame.
KC has taught the Sky Ryders, The Blue Knights and The Madison scouts as a guard staff member throughout his career. Most recently he was the visual coordinator for the Phantom Regiment in 2011-2013 and the program coordinator for the Madison Scouts in 2015-2017.
KC currently resides in Longmont Colorado. He continues his work as a production and visual designer for numerous marching bands and winter guards throughout the United States.
