Manuel Rabell
Manuel Rabell is thrilled to begin his first year at Grapevine High School. His responsibilities include choreography, staging, rehearsal planning, and the design and execution of the color guard’s technical program.
Since 2021, Mr. Rabell has served as the Color Guard Director at McKinney Boyd High School and has also worked with Celina High School as their weapon choreographer since 2020.
His journey in the color guard activity began at Colonial High School in Orlando, Florida, where he and his teammates fundraised their first trip to Dayton, Ohio. That season, they became the 2008 WGI Scholastic A World Champions.
Following high school, Mr. Rabell continued performing with several prestigious ensembles, including Fahrenheit World, Orlando Visual, Pegasus World, Spirit of Atlanta, and Phantom Regiment.
Over the past decade, Mr. Rabell has worked as a visual arts consultant, focusing on technical performance, program development, choreographic design, and performance enhancement. His teaching experience spans a variety of outstanding programs, including Clear Brook High School, Winter Park High School, Liberty High School (Florida), William R. Boone High School, Olympia High School, Lyman High School, McKinney High School, Garland High School, and Pegasus World. He also served as the Color Guard Caption Manager for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2019.
Outside of his work in the pageantry arts, Mr. Rabell is a NASM-certified personal trainer. He enjoys both hot and iced coffee, working out at the gym, and walking 10,000 steps a day on trails throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
He and his wife, Alicia Whipkey, Guard Director at Celina High School, enjoy traveling with their two dogs, Harley and Cooper.
