Divisions and Classification
All performing groups will be placed into one of five divisions based on ensemble size and instrumentation to ensure a fair and balanced evaluation process:

Red I - Small Advanced Division (Up to 29 Members)
Red II - Small Intermediate Division (Up to 20 Members)
Blue I - Large Advanced Division (30+ Members)
Blue II - Large Intermediate Division (21+ Members)
Festival - Non Scoring Division, Judges Comments Only (Any Size)

"Members" refers only to Percussionists. Any additional wind, guard, or drum major students will not be included in the count for classification of your group.

Within each classification, Intermediate divisions will perform first, followed by Advanced divisions.
All other ensembles will be scheduled within their division based on date of registration, using the following system:
Earlier registration = later performance time
Later registration = earlier performance time

Entry
Entry Fee: $300
Entry Deadline: August 15th
Late Entries: Please email [email protected] to check availability. The late registration fee is $50.
Payment Policy: Entries are not considered official until payment is received in full. Drumlines that have not paid by August 15th may lose priority performance slots and may incur the late registration fee.
Refund Policy: All entry fees are non-refundable.

A drumline director may request an earlier playing time than assigned due to conflicts or other reasons. Assignments will be made at the Host's discretion.

Timing and Movement
- Warm-Up lasts 45 minutes. We plan 10 minutes of travel time to and from the Warm-Up Area.
- Each drumline will be allotted a maximum of 12 minutes on the performance field. This time includes entry, setup, performance, teardown, and exit.
- Drumlines will be signaled to enter the field by a field official. The official timing will begin when the first piece of equipment crosses the start line onto the performance area.
- Timing will conclude when all performers and equipment have completely exited the performance area.
- All timing results will be recorded and included in the final scoring report.

Scoring
All performances will be evaluated by a panel of three adjudicators.
Adjudicators will be assigned to the following positions to ensure a comprehensive evaluation:
- One adjudicator on the field
- One adjudicator positioned midway up the stands
- One adjudicator located in the press box

Each Drumline Standstill performance will be adjudicated using a 100-point scale.
The scoring breakdown is as follows:
- Execution – 40 points
- Repertoire – 30 points
- General Effect – 30 points

The sum of all judges’ scores will be divided by the total number of adjudicators to determine the average Raw Score. Any applicable penalties will be deducted from the Raw Score to produce a final Net Score.
Drumlines will be ranked within their respective divisions based on Net Score, from highest to lowest.
Drumline performances are subject to overtime penalties based on the 12-minute time allotment, which includes entry, setup, performance, teardown, and exit from the performance area.
Overtime penalty deductions will be reduced from the Raw Score resulting in a Net Score and shall be enforced as follows:

10-30 seconds = - 0.5
30-60 seconds = -1.0

After 60 seconds, an additional 0.5 points will be deducted for each 30 second increment.

Awards
Placement Awards will be presented to the top three performances in each division.
Caption Awards will be presented within each division in recognition of outstanding achievement in the following areas:
- Best Front Ensemble
- Best Cymbal Line
- Best Tenor Line
- Best Bass Line
- Best Snare Line

Judges Comments
Drumlines will receive audio recordings of adjudicator commentary from their performance.
Judging sheets and written feedback will be distributed electronically following the conclusion of the event.
Official contest recaps will be published on the event website within 24 hours of the event’s conclusion.
